The MCFB032VP milling machine is designed for processing thrust (guides) and bearing surfaces of the axle box openings of the side frame of the freight car bogie 18-100.
Under conditions of depot repair, after restoration by wear-resistant surfacing, the planes of the axle box opening are machined to the drawing dimensions due to the sequential movement of sliders with spindle heads, each of which is equipped with three cutters with quick-release hard-alloy plates. Milling of each box opening is made independently from each other.
The frame to be processed is mounted on a slipway, where it is centered depending on the marking and securely fixed with pneumatic clamps.
The machine is easy to operate and does not require high qualification of the operator, since the entire milling cycle takes place in a semi-automatic mode.
